Privacy Policy Introduction

In order to operate the VegaWallet service, VegaWallet may ask you to provide personal and financial information about yourself. This Privacy Policy describes the information we may collect and how we use that information. VegaWallet takes the privacy of your personal information very seriously and will use your information only in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. We will not sell or rent personal information or a list of our customers to third parties. However, there are limited circumstances in which some information will be shared with third parties, under strict restrictions. This Privacy Policy applies to all services that are hosted on the VegaWallet.com website.

VegaWallet has agreed to notify you of:

  1. What personally identifiable information we collect.
  2. How the information is used.
  3. With whom the information may be shared.
  4. What choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the information.
  5. The kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information.

By accepting the Privacy Policy and User Agreement in registration, you expressly consent to our use and disclosure of your personal information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms of the VegaWallet User Agreement.

Please note that your personal information will be stored and processed on secure VegaWallet computers. VegaWallet will hold and transmit your personal information in a safe, confidential and secure environment. If you object to your personal information being transferred or used as described in this Privacy Policy, please do not use VegaWallet services.

While VegaWallet will hold and transmit your personal information in a safe, confidential, and secure environment, VegaWallet is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of third party referrals or web site links.

Transaction Information

We retain transaction information for each of your transactions through VegaWallet.

Information About You From Third Parties

In order to protect our customers against potential fraud, we verify with third parties the information provided by customers. In the course of such verification, we receive personally identifiable information about customers from the third parties.

Customer Service Correspondence

If customers send us correspondence, including e-mails and faxes, we retain such information. We will also retain customer service correspondence and other correspondence from VegaWallet to customers. We retain these records in order to measure and improve our customer service, and to investigate potential fraud and violations of our User Agreement. We may delete these records if permitted by law.

How We Use Collected Information

We collect, store and process personal information in order to:

  1. Verify identity
  2. Provide our services and process transactions
  3. Provide customer service
  4. Determine eligibility to receive offers for special features or products, and
  5. Improve our products and services.

We give access to individually identifiable information about our customers only to those employees who require it to fulfill customer service requests.

Disclosure to Third Parties Other Than VegaWallet Customer

VegaWallet will not sell or rent any personally identifiable information to third parties.

VegaWallet will not share any personally identifiable information with third parties except in the limited circumstances described below. These third parties are limited by law or by contract from using the information for secondary purposes beyond the purposes for which the information is shared.

  1. We share information with third party companies in order to process transactions
  2. We share information with third party companies in order to protect ourselves and our customers from fraud.
  3. We disclose information that we in good faith believe is appropriate to cooperate in investigations of fraud or other illegal activity, or to conduct investigations of violations of our User Agreement. Specifically, this means that if we conduct a fraud investigation and conclude that one side has engaged in deceptive practices, we can give that person or entity's contact information to the appropriate authorities.
  4. We disclose information in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, levy, attachment, order of a court-appointed receiver or other comparable legal process, including subpoenas from private parties in a civil action.
  5. We disclose information to customer agents or legal representatives.
  6. As with any other business, it is possible that VegaWallet in the future could merge with or be acquired by another company. If such an acquisition occurs, the successor company would have access to the information maintained by VegaWallet, including customer account information, but would continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy.
  7. We share information with our parent, subsidiaries and joint ventures to help coordinate the services we provide, enforce our terms and conditions, and promote trust and safety.

Information Security and Protection

VegaWallet is committed to handling information with high standards of information security. We restrict access to information to only our employees who need to know that information in order to provide VegaWallet services. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with regional regulations to guard nonpublic information. We test our security systems regularly.

We protect information from error, loss, and unauthorized access. Our employees who have access to information are made aware of how to keep it confidential. All information is collected, used, and disclosed for business purposes only.

Updating Customer Information

Customers can review the information provided us and make any desired changes to such information, at any time by logging into their respective accounts on the VegaWallet Web site.

If a customer closes a VegaWallet account, we will mark the account as "Closed" in our database, but we will keep the customer information in our database. This is necessary in order to deter fraud. Personally identifiable information from "closed accounts" will not be used by us for any further purposes, nor sold or shared with third parties, except as necessary to prevent fraud and assist law enforcement, or as required by law.

At a customers request, VegaWallet will share with said customer all personal information stored by VegaWallet regarding said customer, what purposes VegaWallet uses it for, and the names of all individuals to whom the information has been disclosed to.
